About the founder

Dr. Bengt E. Jonsson, the founder of ADMS Design has a total of 19 years experience in A/D-converter IC design and implementation in CMOS and BiCMOS technologies. He has worked 11 years in the industry, 4 years as an independent consultant, and 4 years in the academic world, mainly designing high-speed ADCs with telecom infrastructure as one of the main target applications.

He has 9 years industrial experience as project manager and technical leader for ADC R&D projects, 3 years experience as technical advisor for component sourcing in a large international company, and a profound experience in high-level modeling and simulation, circuit-level design and simulation, as well as IC layout design. Before starting ADMS Design he has taped-out and evaluated around 15 different designs, plus an additional set of test-circuits.

His professional interests include: A/D-converter design, analog and mixed-signal IC design, architecture design and specification, data-conversion technology, high-level modeling and simulation, methodology and design tools development, switched-capacitor and switched-current circuits, circuit-level design, sampling circuits and switching error cancellation, A/D-converter enhancement techniques, technology benchmarking and review, teaching, mentoring, writing, programming.

Dr. Bengt E. Jonsson is the author of one book: Switched-Current Signal Processing and A/D Conversion Circuits - Design and Implementation, Kluwer, July 2000, and the author or co-author of 19 journal- or conference papers. Additionally, he is the inventor or co-inventor of 11 patents in the area of A/D-conversion and related technologies.
